Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co. Ltd. ("Tokio Marine & Nichido"), a subsidiary of Millea Holdings Inc., has henced its research program based on the "Climate and Environment Application Generation Consortium", which has been procceded with The University of Tokyo ("UT").
Tokio Marine & Nichido has also made the financial support for UT through The Tokio Marine Research Institute, its think tank, for the purpose of contributing to the progress of researches into the prediction of climate change including global warming being pursued by Center for Climate System Research.
