Tokio Marine Malayan Insurance Co., Inc.(hereinafter "TMMI"), 50%-owned subsidiary in the Philippines of Tokio Marine Asia Pte. Ltd.(CEO: Takashi Yoshikawa) which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tokio Marine Holdings, Inc.(President: Shuzo Sumi), and Malayan Insurance Company, Inc.(hereinafter "Malayan"), No. 1 general insurance company in the Philippines which has been another shareholding partner of TMMI, have completed a merger on 2nd July, 2008. The name of the new company is Malayan Insurance Company, Inc., succeeding to one of the names of the partner companies.

The new company is determined to improve customer services by making the most of the upgraded IT system and expanded distribution channels following the merger, and thus provide customer-oriented products and services all the more as one of the companies of the Tokio Marine Group playing very important roles in its Asian operations.
