Tokio Marine Holdings is pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Brimecome as Executive Chairman International.

He will also become a member of the newly formed International Executive Committee which will determine strategy for further international expansion.

President Shuzo Sumi said that further expansion of the international business is a high priority for the group and that the appointment of Ian to his new role is a strong statement of intent in this regard.

Ian Brimecome has been appointed as the Senior Strategic Adviser of Tokio Marine Holdings since 2007 and advised on Tokio Marine's overall international business strategy including M&A strategy.

Until recently an investment banker, having advised on more than one hundred completed insurance transactions in more than twenty countries, he has been a board member of a number of insurance companies in recent years, both in the Tokio Marine Group and elsewhere.

He will remain Chairman of Kiln Group as well as being on the board of Philadelphia Consolidated and Edelweiss Tokio Life.
