We sincerely would like to extend our warmest sympathies to those that have suffered damage from the earthquake in Sichuan, China which occurred on May 12, 2008. We hope that the reconstruction of all of the disaster areas progresses as quickly as possible.

1. Donation in support of the Sichuan Earthquake Relief
The Millea Group, including Millea Holdings, Inc ("Millea HD"; President: Shuzo Sumi) and Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. ("Tokio Marine & Nichido"; President: Shuzo Sumi) today announced that it will donate a total of 10 million yen in support of the relief efforts in the aftermath of the Sichuan earthquake. The donation will be sent to NGOs and other organizations that are involved in such relief efforts.

In addition, each company of the Millea Group (including both domestic and overseas subsidiaries) has pledged to raise fund from its employees and agents for victims of the devastating earthquake.

2. Provision of toll-free medical/health hotline service
Tokio Marine & Nichido has decided to set up a toll-free counseling hotline on health and medical matters in Japanese for those who are in the stricken area and can speak Japanese (Japanese travelers, students, expatriates and their families), regardless of policyholders of the Millea Group's insurances. The hotline service will be provided through Tokio Marine & Nichido Medical Service Co., Ltd. ("TMN Medical Service"), a subsidiary of Millea HD.
TMN Medical Service will provide 24-hour consultation services including consultation by doctors and nurses on health and emergency medical care matters and consultation by specialists with advance reservation. The service is planned to be available until the end of July, 2008.
