Net losses caused by earthquake in New Zealand (1) occurred on 4th September, 2010 that Tokio Marine Group has incurred so far this fiscal year are as follows:

(a) Tokio Marine & Nichido (Australia, New Zealand direct business and reinsurance assumed in Japan): approx. 0.2 billion yen
(b) Subsidiaries(2) : approx. 5 to 7 billion yen

The above preliminary estimates are based on currently available information. These amounts may be subject to adjustment and may materially change based on the results of claim investigations and other factors.
