relating to the Great East Japan Earthquake

We would like to express our most sincere condolences to all people who have been affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. (“TMNF,” president: Shuzo Sumi) will support our employees' volunteer activities on affected areas as part of the recovery support.
Tokio Marine Holdings, Inc. (President: Shuzo Sumi) has also donated to Japanese Red Cross Society and NPO organizations the funds raised from employees and agents of the Tokio Marine Group.

1. Support for employees' volunteer activities
TMNF employees located close to Sendai city have been working on volunteer activities such as cleaning up of affected houses and clearing rubble away in Ishinomaki city through the use of "Volunteer Leave System"*1. From July, we will expand these volunteer activities to employs all over Japan.

*1 "Volunteer Leave System"
TMNF has established "Volunteer Leave System" in 1999 for the purpose of promoting employees' volunteer activities. This system enables employees to take days off to participate in relief activities at the time of disasters or volunteer activities recommended by the company (up to ten days leave a year). The number of employees who used this system for the past three years was 209 for FY2008, 212 for FY2009 and 152 for FY2010.
